His Holiness Pope Leo XIV Appoints The Anna Trust Foundation Leaders as Consultors to Vatican Dicastery

Sr. Patricia Murray appointed Consultors to the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life

His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has appointed Sr. Patrica Murray, CJ, President and Chair of the Board of The Anna Trust Foundation, and Foundation Board member Sr. Maria Nirmalini, AC, as Consultors to the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

The appointments were announced on 6 August 2026 as part of a group of fifteen new Consultors to support the Dicastery’s work on matters concerning religious orders, congregations, and societies of apostolic life.

Reflecting on her appointment, Sr. Patricia Murray said, "I am deeply honoured to serve as a consultor and to contribute to the future of consecrated life which is such a blessing for the Church and the world."

Additionally, Sr. Maria Nirmalini shared “I consider it a blessing to receive this appointment. It invites me to a journey of deep faith and hope.”

In their new roles, Sr. Patricia Murray and Sr. Maria Nirmalini will bring their experience and expertise to the work of the Dicastery and the accompaniment to consecrated life throughout the world.
