The Anna Trust 2025 webinar series

People are living longer, and some may develop dementia as they age. This is an issue of great concern for all our communities because of its personal, emotional, spiritual and financial implications for religious congregations.

To deepen the understanding of these matters, The Anna Trust Foundation will offer three webinars which will be held online in English, Spanish, Italian and French from 3:00PM to 4.00PM (Rome Time) on the following dates:

September 15th - Why study Dementia

The knowledge shared will assist you and the sisters who care for the sisters with memory impairments to do so with greater insight and understanding. It will serve as a concise introduction to the realm of dementia.

The speaker of the event will be Sr. Peter Lillian, O.Carm., BA, LNHA, Director of the Avila Institute pf Gerontology Inc., and Alfred Norwood, MBA, BS, Avila Institute Faculty. The moderator will be Sr. Siobhán O'Keeffe, SS.H.J.M, The Anna Trust Cognitive Impairment Program Director.

October 15th - Caring With Foresight: Planning for the Wellbeing of Members in Religious Life

This webinar will provide leadership teams with the tools to plan effectively for the care of their aging members. Through real-world case studies, participants will explore sustainable, compassionate approaches to the provision of long-term pastoral and practical support. The session will foster strategic thinking rooted in mission, community and dignity.

The speaker of the event will be Helen Harrington, Director of L&P Stewardship Advisory Services and who is now part of Cantor Fitzgerald. The moderator will be Susan Raymond Ph.D., The Anna Trust Senior Advisor.

December 15th - Is Dementia Preventable

This webinar provides some strategies to reduce the risk of developing dementia or at least mitigate its development.

During this webinar The Anna Trust Certificate Programme Cognitive Impairment Support Initiative - Changing Minds, Transforming Lives will be introduced and the criteria to apply will be outlined. The Anna Trust’s Certificate Program is designed to enhance the skills and care that is provided to your sisters.
